So, you’re on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and just about every other social network you can think of. Whether you’re a lurker who observes the digital community in action or are the person people turn to when they need a trusted opinion when it comes to certain topics, Klout is one way to show off what you know to people on the interwebs. And if you’re influential in certain topics, you might just get rewarded with free stuff for displaying your online expertise.

Free open source software is a major component of CX’s secret cloud sauce. We depend on many projects, such as MySQL, Linux/Ubuntu, Python, Ruby/Rails, Scala and Git. People all over the world have generously shared with others their hard work. More than just sharing the finished product, they release the source code and allow anyone to make their own changes to the code and make it do anything they want.

The open source ecosystem is a critical reason why startups such as CX can deliver high-quality products. We get access to industrial-grade software and don’t have to pay any licensing costs. On top of that, we have the ability to look at the code for the software and have the ability and freedom to change it however we like to suit our business needs. (more…)

If you’ve downloaded the CX Android app for your mobile device, get excited: it’s about to get a whole lot sexier.

The latest version of the app features improved image viewing capabilities, which includes a more integrated experience that allows users to scroll through images in the same directory, delete images and share images with others.
