How long have you been with CX? I’ve been with CX just a few weeks shy of 1 year!

What is your typical day like? Morning yoga for flexibility, bacon and avocado toast or yogurt and granola. Then e-mail, news, task-list, planning, stand-up (our daily 15-minute meeting to be sure we’re coordinated and not blocking each other), the first three pomodoros (units of hard focused code-smithing for 1-2 hours), lunch or a walk around Seattle Center, then back to work for the last three pomodoros, daily review, sign-off. Then after work, I’ll usually do an extended yoga session or some strength-training with free weights, have the girlfriend over and cook dinner, read or watch 30 Rock, evening meditation, sleep. How long have you been with CX? 11 months

What is your typical day like? We work in cross-functional teams, which means that it’s not uncommon for me to spend part of my day working on the CX web app, and then switch up and dig into heavy-duty server code. I also typically spend a portion of my day pair programming with other developers here, which has a number of benefits, including helping keep our distributed teams more closely connected. (more…)

How long have you been with CX? 7 months.

What is your typical day like? My typical day entails talking to management/designers to clarify objectives and requirements, write code that I think will work, run the code and verify it works, pass it to a tester who checks it even more thoroughly and fix things based on their feedback. (more…)

How long have you been with CX? 8 months.

What is your typical day like? I start out by reading backlogs of anything I might have missed in the company and look for any issues that may have come up while I was away. After that, it is totally different every day. I’ll be coding, researching, fixing, writing, testing or reviewing something in the CX infrastructure. (more…)

How long have you been with CX? 16 months.

What is your typical day like? I spend a lot of the day with a phone glued to my ear (need an implant) talking to customers, partners, other industry members and the CX team about the cloud, cloud-related technologies, our products and the direction we’re taking at CX. My role also dictates that I spend a lot of time in aircraft flying around to meet with these interested parties and between our development offices (we’re a very virtual/distributed team). Although I do a fair bit of technical advising internally, I don’t get to code much these days, but am very happy that we’ve been able to hire an awesome team to build our product. (more…)
