Free File Share by CX: How Do You Use Our Cloud Storage?

free file shareLast week, we brought you some case studies of how some of our CX users use our free cloud storage service. There seems to be no shortage of different ways our userbase employs our online storage, and this week, we’re bringing you even more insight from users just like yourself. How do you use CX? Let us know in the comments.

From CX user Ryan Moore: Primarily, I use CX as an easy means to transfer files to my portable device (tablet/phone) or my office computer. Much easier than e-mailing and a heck of a lot better than digging out a USB cable, etc. Just upload on one device, go to the other device and download. I also use it as a means to send files to clients — rather than e-mail large files, I can send them public links to those files. I’m getting to the point I despise any ‘physical’ media, such as USB sticks or, heaven forfend, a CD/DVD!

From CX user Alexandro Lacadena Gómez: I learned about CX reading a Spanish blog of technology. The blogger wrote that CX offers 10GB for free, so I decided to try it. When I entered the site, I thought, ’Wow, what a wonderful design.’ I registered and entered, and after viewing the structure, I started to upload some things to try the service. Some days after using it, I decided to stay with CX for the 10GB for free. It worked so well, it was easy to revise files. That’s all that I need to back up my works from the university, and it’s a great place to back up my pics, the ones that I take as an amateur photographer.

From CX user Christopher P. Van Vorous: My use case isn’t all that interesting. I’m planning on using the platform primarily as a second backup for important documents and photos, replacing Jungledisk + separate S3 bucket. The single bill for both the UI and storage space is more cost-effective for me than ‘licensing’ the software and paying a separate Amazon AWS bill each month. As an aside, I’ve been less than thrilled with Jungledisk support since they were acquired by Rackspace a couple years back.

From CX user Kamran Mackey: I enjoy using CX because its user interface is very user-friendly, it keeps improving, and I love that. I love the photo uploader Zipline because it’s one of your best products for CX. I use CX to store my most special photos, videos and music. I also use it to store all my documents. Overall, I give it 100 stars.

From CX user Nick Fortag: I use CX mostly for school for uploading Word Docs and Powerpoint presentations, but over the summer I been using it for uploading backups of my website.

From CX user Matthew Gibbons: I use CX.com because of its ease of use. I can store a lot of my files safely in the knowledge that they are secure, but that I can also access them wherever I am on whichever device I need to use them on. I also love the fact that if someone shares a file with me on CX.com, it doesn’t count towards my storage limit.
