How long have you been with CX? 8 months.
What is your typical day like? I start out by reading backlogs of anything I might have missed in the company and look for any issues that may have come up while I was away. After that, it is totally different every day. I’ll be coding, researching, fixing, writing, testing or reviewing something in the CX infrastructure.
Why does working in the cloud sharing field interest you? It is a rapidly developing market with a lot of competition. I think that the advances in cloud computing are going to play a big role in leading into the future of computing, the Internet and humanity. So yeah, it’s pretty cool.
What do you use CX for? I mainly use it to keep my mp3 and photo collections up-to-date across my computers. I use it for documents and sharing, too, but music and photos are the biggies.
What’s your favorite part about working at CX? There is so much to like about working for CX. Constant exposure to new technology, the challenging nature of the job, or maybe the awesome company culture. I can’t say. I like it all.
What’s your favorite food? I’m a taco guy.
What’s your favorite band or musician? The Refreshments. They never really hit it big, but they have a kind of honesty and fun quality that I like, so I keep listening to them.
What’s your favorite movie? Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
What are three of your favorite websites to visit, and why do you visit each one? TED.com has to be one of the more interesting sites out there today. It is entertaining and engages the mind. Myfitnesspal.com is a site I use every day to work on personal fitness. It helps keep me motivated by feeding the ‘numbers’ part of my brain in health-related areas. Stackoverflow.com, I seem to end up here a lot.
What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you? I’m also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
