Here at CX, we’ve associated the term “PC” with personal cloud for awhile—there’s no such thing as one type of personal computer when you have tablets, desktops, phones and laptops galore to stay connected with. That’s why we weren’t surprised by Gartner’s recent study that claimed “the personal cloud will replace the personal computer as the center of users’ digital lives by 2014.” With online cloud storage such as CX that keeps all your data safe and secure and accessible from anywhere, the cloud’s force is undeniable and goes beyond mere machines. You’ve probably been hearing a ton about this omnipresent thing called “the cloud.” No, it’s not just a puffy white thing that sits up in the sky — online cloud storage is something that is growing at an extremely rapid pace, with cloud computing use expected to double by 2015, according to a study by IBM. Don’t think that the cloud is only for the technology-obsessed —whether you want to save photos of your family, videos from your wedding or PowerPoint presentations for work, cloud computing is a vital way to ensure you keep all your data safe and secure.
